This online exhibit was created by Inga Gudmundsson as a final project for an undergraduate history course at James Madison University. The creator is a senior history major who was interested in creating an online platform to advance her own knowledge of both how to do digital history and the steps that are included in creating a website as well as expanding her own understanding of her family history.

The intent of this project is to show that through using one family's history, a better understanding of the broader historical events of the time can be found.

 

This project could not have been possible without the help of the creator's mother who shares a love for not only her family's history but also for old stuff and history.

Everything used is from the family's own personal collection with the addition of some supplemental photos that have been identified with its original source.
